The National Monuments Service's description
In gently undulating pasture. A rectangular area (dims. L 35m E-W; Wth 30m) is defined along the N by a wide, shallow fosse (Wth 5.5m; D 0.4m; ), and along the W by a wide drain (Wth 5m; D 1.5m) which is probably a re-cut fosse. A modern field bank, probably incorporating an older bank, forms the S-limits, and there is no visible surface trace of an enclosing element along the E. According to the landowner it was known as 'the rath' and had been covered in trees which were felled in 'the Emergency' after which the interior was dug-out for yellow clay or daub for house building and was subsequently backfilled and reclaimed. The morphology suggests it may have been a moated site.
