The National Monuments Service's description

In 1978, the National Museum of Ireland (NMI) was notified that human remains from Carton Demesne were in the possession of the Yorkshire Museum, York, England. The remains comprised the pelvic bone and leg bone of a male and were apparently found on Sept. 6th, 1946. While the precise location of the burial is unknown, the remains may have reached York via a Mr. Willmot. The remains (1978:1) were returned to the NMI. (Cahill and Sikora 2011, Vol 2, 482)
