The National Monuments Service's description
Built into the gate piers of a school near the centre of Johnstown Bridge village. Two square plaques (dims. c. 0.5m; c. 0.5m) one bearing the coat-of-arms of Gerald, eleventh Earl of Kildare, and the other those of Sidney, Lord Deputy of Ireland; which according to O'Leary (1896-9, 135-8) came from Clonagh castle (KD003-017----) c. 2 miles to the W. The possible original location is designated KD003-017002-.
