The National Monuments Service's description
Some 8m to the E of a holy well (GA132-035----). According to local information, an oval mound (c. 12m N-S; H c. 0.8m) on which numerous set stones were haphazardly arranged is a children's burial ground (SMR file). The mound was renovated in 1989 and shrubs were planted around its perimeter. A large white wooden cross is set in a base of loose stones at its N end. This may be the burial ground which was recorded as 'Ahanass grave yard (Ath an easa) in Boolananollogue townland, (buáile na nollog)' in the Ordnance Survey Letters (O'Flanagan 1927, Vol. II, 517). This record was incorrectly numbered GA132-027002- in the RMP (1997).
