The National Monuments Service's description

In gently rolling pastureland, overlooking Ballynakill Lough some 400m to the N. This tomb consists of a small wedge-shaped chamber (L 2m; Wth c. 1.8m at SW narrowing to 1.4m at NE), aligned NE-SW, decreasing in height from W to E. The chamber, closed at SW by a single slab, is covered by a roofstone. Outer-walling survives to the S, and especially around the NE end. It is incorporated in a small mound which rises almost to roof height. (Killanin and Duignan 1967, 300; de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 23-4)
