The National Monuments Service's description
On a low rise in grassland. Well-preserved roughly circular cashel (diam. 29.6m) defined by two
grass-covered drystone walls and an intervening fosse. There is a causewayed entrance gap (Wth 1.6m) at E. At SSW a curving grass-covered stone wall (L c. 10m) abuts the outer enclosing element. A souterrain (GA128-027----) lies in the SW quadrant of the interior. A bullaun stone (GA128-031----), which is traditionally associated with St Patrick, lies c. 50m to the N.
