The National Monuments Service's description
On a rise in hilly pastureland. Subcircular rath (32m E-W; 30m N-S), in fair condition, defined by an inner scarp, two banks and two fosses. The scarp is visible all round. The inner bank, which is the best preserved section of the monument, is also clearly evident except from SW to N where is has been dug into. The outer bank only survives at S. The inner fosse is visible throughout but the outer fosse only survives from N to SE and at S. Cattle gaps breach the middle bank at NNW and SSE. According to local information, there is a souterrain (GA125-109001-) in the interior.
