The National Monuments Service's description
On an E-facing slope in pastureland. Marked on the OS 6-inch maps as a subcircular enclosure (c. 40m E-W; c. 34m N-S), which was possibly a rath. A roughly NNW-SSE running field boundary clipped it at E. On inspection in May 1983 no visible surface trace survived. However, its outline is clearly visible on OSi Ortho_ITM aerial photographs dated 2005-2012 and Digital Globe aerial imagery dated 2011-2013. More recent aerial imagery dated 2013-2018 (see http://map.geohive.ie/ last accessed 27 January 2021) suggests that the monument has been quarried away as a result of the expansion of the gravel works shown c. 60m to its NW on the 2005-2012 imagery.
