The National Monuments Service's description

In an earthen embankment on the NE side of a local roadway, c. 200m to the NW of the entrance to Kiltartan church (GA122-104----). This milestone, named ‘M.S.’ on the 1922 edition of the OS 6-inch map, consists of a well-dressed flat-topped trapezoidal-shaped limestone pillar (H 0.63m; Wth 0.29m at front, 0.46m at rear; D 0.36m) with a narrow chamfer to the outer angles. It bears the following inscription of the front face: ‘15 From Galway’. The upper part of the numerals is damaged by heavy spalling (O’Sullivan 2021, No. 3). The milestone is one of nine in the study area, see also GA122-098----, GA122-147----, GA113-189----, GA113-217----, GA113-218----, GA103-217----, GA103-218---- and GA103-219----).
