The National Monuments Service's description

In sand dunes on a hillock that has developed around the church (GA120-007001-), this large roughly square graveyard (c. 98m NE-SW; c. 96m NW-SE) is enclosed by stone wall and field fence. The church is surrounded by modern graves but it is possible that earlier graves lie buried in the sand beneath the modern ones. Mason (1938, 200) refers to an 'ancient' graveyard (see GA120-007005-) that was uncovered 'quite close to the modern graveyard' in 1931. (Gosling 1993, 97, no. 554)
