The National Monuments Service's description
This circular hut site (diam. c. 2.6m; H 0.8m) came to light during the course of fieldwork on the AranLIFE Farming Project (2014-2018) (see www.aranlife.ie). It is located on a terrace at the SE end of the island in an area of rough grazing and it overlooks Cuan Chill Éinne/Killeany Bay to the N. It is best defined from N to E where the inner wall-face is visible and up to four courses of the walling survive. A possible entrance at E is marked by stone at right angles to the curve of the wall. The outer limits of the hut are ill defined with collapsed material extending up to 2.5m from the internal wall-face between W and NE. A possible overgrown annexe (3m by 3m) is visible at N.
