The National Monuments Service's description

Lying on foreshore near low-water mark off Caisleán Aircín (GA119-005001-). A broken eight-sided limestone pillar (L/T 0.28m, H >1.25m) with triangular stops at the junction with its square base. Probably a wayside cross of 16-17th-C date.
