The National Monuments Service's description
On Inis Meáin, on bare flat limestone cragland to NE of and below Baile an Mhothair. This Nat. Mon., known locally as Leaba Dhiarmada 'is Ghrainne, is very ruined. The gallery (L c. 3.5m), aligned E-W, is represented by two large sidestones now pitched markedly to S beneath a large roofstone. Outer walling occurs to N and S of the gallery. A displaced upright stone at W end of the gallery may have formed part of an entrance feature. Some slight traces of cairn survive around the tomb which appears to have been built directly on bare rock, (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 18-19; Robinson 1980)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
