The National Monuments Service's description

In gently undulating pastureland. This large subcircular enclosure (160m N-S; 110m E-W) is defined by an earthen bank and external fosse. A modern farmhouse and associated outbuildings occupy its NE quadrant and here the enclosing elements have been levelled from N to E. A semicircular enclosure (diam. c. 10m), defined by a low bank, abuts the inner face of the bank at E; it may be a later feature. A modern driveway cutting through the interior at W accesses the farmhouse and there is a bullaun stone (GA118-029002-) adjacent to its E wall. The large size of the enclosure, when coupled with the presence of the bullaun and a townland boundary immediately to its W, suggest that it may be an early ecclesiastical enclosure. An earthwork (GA118-023----) lies c. 120m to the SW.
