The National Monuments Service's description

On a hillock in undulating grassland. Marked on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map as as a subcircular enclosure; a field boundary curved around it from SW to NE. On the 1947 revision of the map, further field boundaries surrounded it from NE to SE and from SE to SW. On inspection July 1983, apart from a band of vegetation (Wth 4m) which may have indicated its outline from E to S, no visible surface trace of the enclosure (c. 37m NE-SW; c. 31m NW-SE) survived. A curving field wall at W and N may also have mirrored its outline. The siting and cartographic evidence suggest that this was a rath.
