The National Monuments Service's description
In the SE sector of the interior of a rath (GA115-0222----) and to the N of a children's burial ground (GA115-022001-). This inaccessible drystone-built souterrain (L >12m) consists of a passage (L c. 5m) running N-S. It was possible to see into it beneath one of two exposed roof lintels at its N end. At the time of visit it was filled with water. Another displaced roof lintel was visible, jutting out from the bank of the rath, c. 7m to the S of this section, indicating that the souterrain continued further southwards and possibly beneath the bank of the rath. According to local information, it continued in a southerly direction for at least a further 10m.
