The National Monuments Service's description
In level grassland. Well-preserved circular cashel (diam. c. 53.4m) defined by a drystone wall,
which is overlain by a field wall at E. The interior is densely overgown. McCaffrey (1952, 281, no. 48) noted a blocked-up entrance gap (Wth c. 3m) at E, from which there extended into the interior ‘a platform or walk of boulders’ (L c. 7.6m; Wth c. 2.4m). He also noted that the entrance was flanked by ‘two rows of boulders making an avenue or approach’ (L c. 9m). Westropp (1919a, 182), who remarks upon the former feature, also noted traces of ‘an outer ring about 12 to 14 feet [3-3.6m] outside the main rampart’; it was evident from SE to SW. No visible surface trace of these features survives. There is a souterrain (GA114-037001-) in the NW quadrant of the interior.
