The National Monuments Service's description
Immediately to the N of a rath (GA113-110003-). This very poorly preserved almost square enclosure (37m NE-SW; 35m NW-SE) is defined by an inner stony bank (Wth 0.6m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 1.6m), an intervening fosse (Wth 2.5m) and an outer stony bank (Wth 0.8m; int. H 1.5m; ext. H 0.2m). Reclaimed spoil and earth have been dumped on the SW and NW corners and S half of the E side has been removed as a result of quarrying. There is a ruined rectangular house site (GA113-110008-) in the NW quadrant of the interior, and two possible house sites (GA113-110009- and GA1113-110010-) overlie the line of the fosse at E. The enclosure may be associated with Drumharsna Castle (GA113-110001-) which stands 180m to the SE. (McCaffrey 1959, 271-2, no. 31; ASGAP 243:18)
This monument is subject to a preservation order made under the National Monuments Acts 1930 to 2014 (PO no. 13/1971).
