The National Monuments Service's description

In reclaimed grassland and rock outcrop. This subrectangular cashel (33.6m N-S; 30.5m E-W), in fair condition, is defined by a drystone wall which is overlain by a field wall at W and on the N side. Field-clearance material has been piled against it at NE and S. There is a well-defined entrance gap (Wth 2.3m) at SE. Within the interior two possible house sites (GA112-016001- and GA112-016002-) abut the cashel wall at N and S. Two other structures abut the wall in SW quadrant, one is rectangular in plan (8.6m N-S; 4.5m E-W), the other square (5m N-S; 5m E-W). A number of internal divisions are also evident and traces of a possible limekiln are visible at SSE.
