The National Monuments Service's description

In a small level pasture field overlooking Cuan Cill Éinne, Inis Mór, to NE. Marked as a 'hut' by Robinson (1980), it consists of rectangular drystone building (L 2.28m, Wth 1.82m) with a doorway in W wall. Roof lintels survive at NE and SW corners but there is no evidence of corbelling. A small annexe is attached at S, consisting of two parallel lines of large flagstones set on edge. Probably of recent origin.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
