The National Monuments Service's description
This drystone-built clochan came to light during the course of fieldwork on the AranLIFE Farming Project (2014-2018) (see www.aranlife.ie). It is located at the NW end of the island and is incorporated into a later E-W running field wall. The clochan is subcircular in plan (int. diam. 4m; H 2.3m; wall T 1.8m) with a narrow entrance opening to the S. Well-defined corbelling is visible internally at S and SW and externally at E; at S it is partially robbed out. The N half (H 0.4-1m) is partially overgrown with ivy and it appears to have been squared off for reuse as a shed. Another clochan (GA110-185----) lies c. 130m to the NNE.
