The National Monuments Service's description

Circa 80m NE of Dún Eochla (GA110-138----). A roughly oval mound (NW-SE 16m, NE-SW 11.9m) of stone with a central depression (L 10.1m, Wth 4m). There are traces of a possible entrance at SE: the stone foundations immediately E of this are probably modern.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
