The National Monuments Service's description
In pastureland on a slight rise sloping to the S and SW. Named 'Aharla' on the 1938 edition of the OS 6-inch map and 'Aharla Site of' on the 1898-9 revision. Robinson (1980) suggested that it might have been the site of an early burial place. No headstones or grave-markers are visible and there are no visible surface traces of any enclosing element. A church site (GA110-049----) is associated. (Westropp 1895, 260; O'Flanagan 1927, vol. 3, 205)
