The National Monuments Service's description

This large circular pit (diam. 0.8m, D 0.11m) was uncovered just outside the NW corner of Structure 9.1 (GA110-039034-). It was filled with clay silt, small stones and gravel and contained minute traces of organic refuse, including some traces of burnt animal bone. It may have been associated with the house (Cotter 2012, vol. 1, 256-7; vol. 2 274).
