The National Monuments Service's description
This much-ruined rectangular building (8.7m NW-SE; 4.4m NE-SW) is part of the monastic complex known as na Seacht Teampaill/the Seven Churches. It is c. 12m to the N of Teampall Bhreacáin/Temple Brecan (GA110-010001-) and immediately to the NW of another building (GA110-010009-). It is constructed of mortared limestone masonry and the walls survive to only two or three courses. The best preserved section is the E end of the S wall (H 0.64m; T 0.66), which is bonded into the S wall of the building to the SE. The NE wall is grassed over and partially removed. The poor state of preservation of this building is probably due to the fact that the main access route to Teampall Bhreacáin runs across its W end. A burial within the interior is marked by three limestone blocks. (Waddell 1973, 14, Building E; Gosling 1993, 63, no. 349)
