The National Monuments Service's description
On a hummock in grassland. No visible surface trace survived of a hachured feature marked on the 1944-5 revision of the OS 6-inch map when inspected in 1984. Extensive field clearance had occurred in the area. Cartographic evidence suggests it was possibly a quarry of post-AD 1700 date and as such it does not come within the remit of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland.
