The National Monuments Service's description
In undulating grassland, formerly part of Moorfield Demesne. This subcircular rath (34.5m NE-SW; 30m NW-SE), in fair condition, is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. A field bank cuts through the monument from N to NE and no visible surface trace survives to the N of it. The inner bank is visible from S to W; a scarp forms the enclosing element from W to N and from E to S. The fosse and outer bank are best preserved from ESE to SSW; later field walls overlie sections of the latter.
