The National Monuments Service's description

Within the SE quadrant of a possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (GA108-076003-). Described in the OS Letters (O’Flanagan 1927, Vol. 2, 61-2) as a rectangular church (c. 19m E-W; c. 7m N-S), probably of medieval date. There was 'a large breach’ in the middle of the S wall, which probably indicates the position of the original doorway. An illustration of the W gable shows ‘two rectangular windows of the lancet form’. One window is at a higher level than the other, suggesting the presence of a loft at this end of the building. The greater parts of N and S side-walls then survived though E gable was ‘completely down’. All that now survives is a featureless stretch of the N side-wall (L 9.1m; H 2.65m; T 0.8m). It is constructed of irregularly laid roughly coursed mortared limestone blocks. A graveyard (GA108-076002-) surrounds it.
