The National Monuments Service's description
On a N-facing slope overlooking a stream. This circular enclosure (D 102m), in fair condition, is defined by an earthen bank and external fosse. The bank (Wth across top 2.7m; Wth base Wth 8.7m; int. H 1m; ext. H 2.3m) is visible from SW through N to SE; elsewhere a scarp, overlain by a field bank, forms the enclosing element. The fosse (Wth 3m; D 1m) is best preserved from SSW to NNW; from NNW to SE its line is indicted by a band of dense nettle growth. There is an entrance causeway (Wth 7m) at W. Centrally placed within the interior is a children's burial ground (GA107-069002-), to the N of which are a series of rectangular subdivisions defined by earthen banks. The size of the monument, when coupled with the presence of the children's burial ground, suggests that it is ecclesiastical in character.
