The National Monuments Service's description

On a low ridge in undulating pastureland. This rath (int. dims. c. 45m NE-SW; c. 20m NW-SE), in fair condition, is roughly oval in plan and is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. Causewayed gaps at E and WNW may be original. Traces of parallel lines of set stones running between the gaps are evident in the interior, which is slightly higher than the external ground level. They may mark the line of an old trackway through the site. An L-shaped hollow in the SW quadrant may mark the site of a collapsed souterrain (GA106-124001-). (Knox 1918, 74)
