The National Monuments Service's description
This record was formerly classified as Unclassified earthwork in the SMR (1987) and as Earthwork unclassified in the RMP (1997). A review of the evidence indicates that it is a series of disused gravel pits. Therefore, it has been reclassified as a Quarry.
