The National Monuments Service's description

On a low NW-facing rise. Indicated on the OS 6-inch Cassini mapping as a field boundary curving roughly from SW to NE. On inspection in October 1984, it proved to be a drystone wall built upon the foundations of a cashel wall (Wth 4.4m; int H 0.42m). No visible surface trace of the cashel survived from NE to SW but it originally was probably circular in plan (diam. c. 46m). Large blocks visible at the base of the external face of the field boundary, between N and NE, may be some of the original wall-facing of the cashel wall. From SW to N the field boundary was built on the inner wall-face of the cashel and its outer face was defined by a grassed-over stony scarp. The cashel was incorporated into the landscaping of the surrounding housing estates when this area was subsequently developed in the late 1990s.
