The National Monuments Service's description

In undulating grassland. This partly overgrown circular cashel (diam. 32m), in fair condition, is defined by the remains of a substantial drystone wall (Wth 2.5m; max. ext. H c. 2m). Both wall-faces are constructed of large undressed limestone blocks laid in irregular courses. A gap at SW may be original as it appears to have a well-built face on the N side. Another gap at SE appears to be modern. The interior is divided into three unequal sections by drystone walls. In the S section the remains of three/four structures are evident. Due to heavy overgrowth it was not possible to determine whether these are original features or whether they are the same date as the partition walls. Very ruined small rectangular stone enclosures/structures noted against the external wall-face at N, NE and E appear to be later features and may be old sheep pens. An old N-S roadway runs to the E of the cashel and a number of other structures (see GA105-047001-) were noted to the E of it (SMR file).
