The National Monuments Service's description

In gently undulating farmland to E of a stream. Indicated on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a semicircular field boundary and on the 1929 edition as a penannular configuration of field boundaries (diam. 90m E-W) encircling a house and outbuildings. Though no visible surface trace of any antiquities survive, there is a local tradition of a 'castle' here. Not precisely located. A number of architectural fragments (see GA105-010----), possibly of a window of 17th-18th century date, are built into a modern wall close to the stream c. 375m to the NNW. Another castle (GA105-004002-) lies c. 220m to the WSW.
