The National Monuments Service's description

On a NE-facing slope. Described by McCaffrey (1952, 246, no. 56a) as a very denuded circular ‘Earthen fort’ (diam. 36.6m). It is defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 3m; H c. 0.3-0.5m), roughly D-shaped in plan (c. 20m NE-SW) with straight SW side (L c. 30m).
