The National Monuments Service's description

On a prominent esker hillock in pastureland. Described by McCaffrey (1952, 27, 237, no. 39a; 1955, 224) as ‘the possible remains of a smaller tumulus of the same type contiguous to, if not conjoined to’ the ring-barrow (see GA104-108----) ‘on its western side’. It is defined by a low roughly circular rise (diam. 4m; H 0.15m).
