The National Monuments Service's description

In cleared pastureland. When inspected in April 1967 only the N half of this cashel (diam. c. 40m) survived. It was defined by a drystone wall with massive stones at the base of the inner and outer wall-face (SMR file). It was known locally as a ‘fort’. On re-inspection in May 1992 the field was being leveled and no visible surface traces survived.
