The National Monuments Service's description
In a hedgerow on the N side of a by-road. This small limestone cross (H 0.9m) has upwardly splayed arms on which the figure of Christ, wearing a loin cloth, is carved in high relief. The cross is set on a drystone leacht-like structure. According to local information, mass was celebrated here during penal times and it was known locally as a 'mass-rock' (O'Connell and Korff 1987). A children's burial ground (GA103-187002-) is associated. See also GA103-185----.
