The National Monuments Service's description
On a rise in undulating pastureland. Redington (1912, 175) refers to a ‘circle of very large stones’ but she could not determine if ‘they had ever formed more than a single wall’. A souterrain (GA103-181001-) was centrally placed within the interior of the enclosure. McCaffrey (1952, 206) also noted the ‘souterrain and a surrounding ring of stones’ (diam. c. 33m) and he suggested that the ‘ring’ probably represented ‘one face of the surrounding wall’. No visible surface trace survives.
