The National Monuments Service's description
In flat pastureland overlooking Brandy Harbour and the sea to the WNW. The OS Letters record that there was a 'little church in the townland of Cillin Arann, of which the site only is now traceable' in this townland(O'Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 302). According to McCaffrey (1952, 187, no. 35) one 'wall of 24' long [c. 7.3m] x 3' wide [c. 1m] and 3'6" [c. 1.07m] high survived. It was aligned N-S. The wall was 'hidden in a briar thicket' 'in this position [i.e. that of a children's burial ground (GA103-135---- marked on the OS 6-inch maps]',and local people informed him that human remains were dug up by those attempting to build houses in the immediate vicinity (ibid. 82). No visible surface trace survives.
