The National Monuments Service's description
A possible enclosure noted on an aerial photograph (ASGAP 19:7, 9-11) proved on inspection in 1985 to be a disused subrectangular quarry pit delimited by upcast along its NE, SE and SW sides. From the air the upcast looked like a bank. As it is of post-AD 1700 date it does not come within the remit of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland.
