The National Monuments Service's description
At the base of a gentle N-facing slope. This roughly D-shaped rath (50m NW-SE; 45.2m NE-SW), in fair condition, is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The outer bank survives from NNW to NE. Several breaches in the inner bank appear to be modern and traces of external stone-facing may relate to 19th-century landscaping. A fosse curving from SSE to SSW in the S half of the interior is also probably related to the subsequent landscaping.
