The National Monuments Service's description
On a low hill in grassland. Subcircular ringfort (N-S 31m, E-W 27.5m), in fair condition, defined by two banks of earth and stone and an intervening fosse. No visible surface trace of the fosse and outer bank survive from NE through S to SW. Gap at SSE could be original. A ringfort (GA099-050----) lies c. 150m to SE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
