The National Monuments Service's description
The source of this record is a reference to ‘graves’ which local tradition identified as associated with the Battle of Aughrim (SMR file). This record was entered on the statutory Record of Monuments and Places (issued 1997) as ‘Battlefield – possible’. While it is possible that these may be burial places there is no evidence to support it being classified as a battlefield.
