The National Monuments Service's description
On a ridge in undulating grassland. Described by Cody (1989, 263-4, no. 87), who initially visited the site in 1977, as a subcircular cashel (44m N-S; 39m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall. A field wall cut through the monument from E to W. From N a low bank, which was probably part of an old field boundary, extended northwards for a length of 30m and then eastwards for 20m. There was a subrectangular mound of earth and stone (L 7m; Wth 4m) some 8m to its NE. Its archaeological significance, if any, or its relationship with the cashel was unclear. On a revisit in 1983, Cody (ibid.) noted that N half of the monument had been levelled in the course of land reclamation. By the time of the Survey’s visit in 1984, no visible surface trace survived to the N or S of the field wall.
