The National Monuments Service's description
In gently undulating pastureland. This well-preserved rectangular moated site (c. 43m NW-SE; c. 35m NE-SW) is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank (int. H 1.7m), with an indistinguishable inner edge, only survives at the S corner; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element. The fosse (Wth 6.5m) is steep sided and flat bottomed and its SW side has been incorporated into a roadway that leads to a farmhouse to the NW. Both it and the inner bank are heavily overgrown. The outer bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 0.75m) is clearly visible on the SW side, across the roadway, as well as the NW and NE sides; iit is clear of overgrowth. Another moated site (GA097-104001-) lies c. 550m to the SW. (Cody 1989, 328-9, no. 145)
