The National Monuments Service's description
On the summit of a densely wooded rise. During the course of an illegal excavation in 1980 into this small, roughly circular, overgrown earthen mound (diam. c. 6.7m; H < 1.4m) an unprotected crouched adult skeleton (possibly male), aligned E-W, was found. The mound was described as 'bow-barrow type burial mound' (Topgr. files, NMI).
