The National Monuments Service's description

In grassland, immediately to the NE of a road. Named 'Fort' on the Fair Plan and depicted as a small subcircular enclosure (c. 15m NW-SE) on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map. It was clipped by the NW-SE running road from W to S. On inspection in July 1984 all that was visible was a wide fosse (Wth c. 10m) curving from W to N to SE. A NNE-SSW running field boundary bisected the site. Current aerial imagery (Google 2019) indicates that the latter boundary has since been cleared away.
