The National Monuments Service's description

Within the NE quadrant of a cashel (GA096-023----). This drystone-built souterrain (L 7.2m;
Wth c. 1.2m) runs E-W, curving slightly to W. Access is gained at the E end via a series of sod-covered stone steps. The floor is covered with earth, stone, boulders and rubbish. (Redington 1916a, 55; McCaffrey 1952, 150, no. 48)
