The National Monuments Service's description
On a hillock in undulating pastureland. This small circular enclosure (diam. 8.2m) is defined by a bank of earth and stone. Upright boulders mark an entrance gap (Wth 1.2m) at SE. The interior is obscured by
field-clearance rubble. Lynch Athy (1914, 136) recorded that the monument was known locally as ‘Lisheen na Shinawn ("fort of the fairy wind")’ and that it was said to be the burial place of a soldier. Classified by McCaffrey (1952, 138, no. 8a) as a ‘hut circle’. Possibly a barrow or a house site.
